The Mourning After the Blitz What started out as a green, 5 x 7 inch, abstract, acrylic painting on card with lots of flipping, twisting, brushing and several hours work, became this character. I wanted to create a creature who was saddened upon looking at destruction after a night of bombs falling.
The original mini abstract piece was called Blitz as it was painted whilst I watched a documentary on the WWII bombing of London. Thus the two pieces are connected, albeit in unseen ways.
Finished in 2010. www.shrunkenheaddesign.co.uk
