Although physical oil paint was used to render the final image (135cm x 105cm, oil on canvas). all of the pre-painting work was done in 3ds max and photoshop in order to achieve a more realistic product. Although the render in itself looked quite good, the painting looked better. Although i've been with cgsociety for years, i understand if you don't accept it because the final image is paint and not cg (they wouldn't accept it for cgtalk either). maybe i've strayed to far recently! I thought i'd give it one last try as i feel the world of cg and art are very closely intertwined. let me know if you'd like the digital (pre painted version) as well.
