Lamia In ancient Greek mythology, Lamia was a beautiful queen of Libya who became a child-eating daemon. She had an affair with Zeus and bore him children. When Hera, Zeus' wife, discovered the affair, she became enraged and killed the children... that's why she became a monster.
Some accounts say she has a serpent's tail below the waist...
