Ring Beads 1 Part of my Kinetic Series, these beads take two days to make. The loose rings are made first, put into a kiln to anneal and are cleaned. On day two, the rings made the day before are put in the kiln at start- up -- so they will heat up slowly -- the center cylinder bead is made, one end piece is added, the two rings are slipped on the cylinder and the second end-cap is made. These are a bear to make; I loose two or three to cracking for every successful bead.
